Have you ever just sat and contemplated the magnitude of this absolute truth declared by our Lord Jesus Christ in John 14:6, and what it means for those who claim to represent Him? And then there are the apostle Peter’s words in Acts 4:12 that “there is salvation in no one else, in no other name, except Jesus Christ”. Consider the apostle Paul’s words to Timothy that there is only one mediator or ransom between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). I could go on and on but I believe you get the point.
Have you ever contemplated the overwhelming responsibility and accountability charged to the church of Jesus Christ, to be the steward of the only name, the only truth, and the only way of escape from the inevitable wrath of God, that is soon and very soon to hit this earth? In his letter to the church at Corinth, the apostle Paul said “it is required in stewards that one be found faithful/ trustworthy” (1Corinthians 4:2). I tell you professing Christian, it is not only our stewardship of His name, but also the glory and absolute power to save those who are deceived and lost, that is associated with it, that we will give an account for when we stand at the judgment seat of our master Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10)
My heart grieves when I look at how the name of our Lord is being mis-represented by far too many who claim His name. We fish in a vast sea of false religion that is condemning its followers to a Christless eternity. Is it not time for all of us to examine ourselves to see if we are in the TRUE FAITH, and to test ourselves to be sure Christ is in us (2 Corinthians 13:5)? There is power in Jesus Christ, to first of all transform our lives in righteousness and holiness. Then and only then can our Lord manifest through us the sweet aroma of the true knowledge of Him in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
Are we walking in THE WAY? Do our lives exhibit THE TRUTH? Are we living HIS LIFE? The world does not need to hear any more about Jesus Christ. The world needs to SEE THE TRUTH OF CHRIST in the lives of true believers who have died the death of life (Galatians 2:20; 5:24; 6:14). They have seen and heard enough from those who are declaring and seeking to live the powerless life of death. Remember: those who love and seek to save their lives in this world will lose them (Matthew 16:24-26; Luke 14:26-27; John 12:25). Think about it!
